Thank you so much for your interest in our formation programs! The formation of our families is something that we do not take lightly. To ensure that this will be this the best experience for your children, we suggest that we work as a team, because the formation that your child/ren receives at St. Therese of Lisieux is not enough! YOU, as parents /guardians have the most important role in your child/ren’s formation. You can do more for your child/ren than anyone else in the world, what a special opportunity that is ! In order to make the best out of this time of formation we request that you do three things for your children:
First, take your child/ren to Sunday mass and confession. Without the Eucharist and God’s mercy we are nothing. When we lose sight of what is highest, we lose sight of our goal. When we lose sight of our goal, we lose our sense of purpose. With no purpose, we have no identity. We must go to mass to unveil the truth that we are children of God and WE ARE LOVED. We are loved so much! At mass we receive the love of God and participate in the eternal celebration of His victory over death by the death and resurrection of His Son. In confession we see God’s love through his mercy and receive the grace necessary to overcome even the most dreadful challenges.
Second, ask your child/ren questions about their faith. See what things they are learning! If you have questions, ask them! The Church has answers to all of your questions and to all of your children’s questions. It is important that we know what we believe in so that we can share it with others and also defend it when that time is right. If you have any questions, feel free to contact us!
Third, pray with your children every day. Prayer is an act of faith and is the basis of our relationship with God. Prayer does not have to be complex, it can be as simple as just one Our Father. By challenging your child/ren to pray every day it will help them to form into the kind of person that God is calling them to be, whatever that may be.
God has given you the great gift of caring for his children! If you can do these three things, then, together, we can make sure that your children will receive the greatest formation that they could possibly receive. God did not say that doing his will would be easy, when it is hard, ask Him for strength and put all your trust in Him and He will give you what you need to get through it. Know that we are praying for you and your children as we make this journey together.
God bless
